Each table top is made of unique marble ingots cut from natural stone. It is sanded and polished to accentuate the individual expression of the stone slab. The marble has an open and porous surface and is therefore treated with a sealant (impregnant). The sealant prolongs the time it takes for liquids to soak into the marble surface.

Marble cleaning

For daily cleaning of marble worktops, it is recommended to wipe with a heavily wrung-out cloth dampened with warm water. Then wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use scouring powder, nylon sponges, acidic or chemical cleaners or dishwashing detergent. A more thorough cleaning can be carried out with a small amount of soap chips dissolved in water. Wipe with a clean damp cloth, removing any soap residue, and finish with a dry clean cloth.

Stains and irregularities:

Avoid direct contact with liquids (water, wine, cola, coffee, etc.) and acidic foods (citrus fruits, tomato sauce, etc.). Liquids should be wiped off immediately to avoid damage or discolouration of the marble surface. It is therefore recommended to always use coasters for drinks and felt pads for decorative items.

Heat damage:

Never place hot pots or pans directly on the surface of the stone, as this can affect the material of the stone and cause cracks or delamination. Also beware of candlestick heat and candle sparks – this type of damage is impossible to remove or repair!
